ARDEX can trace its roots back to 1949 the foundation of ARDEX Chemie GmbH in Witten-Annen in Germany by chemists Frau Fortmann and Herr Dr Krafft. Today, the ARDEX Group has over 50 factories and sales offices worldwide.
ARDEX innovative breakthrough came about with the invention of self-leveling compounds in the 1950's, an era that saw linoleum and other floor materials begin to be installed on a grand scale in the building industry. Innovation and product evolution have kept ARDEX on the leading edge of its industry ever since.
The history of ARDEX in Hong Kong and China started in the early 90ies with exporting business to major projects. With the acquisition of the Norcros Group in 2000, ARDEX is represented in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong with own factories and offices. Norcros has been represented in Hong Kong since 1985.
